•-----------------------------------------------------------
1) DISCONNECT A PLATFORM (TIKTOK, WHATSAPP, GMAIL, SLACK, INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK)
•-----------------------------------------------------------
To disconnect any platform in TalkWyse:
1) Sign in to TalkWyse
2) Go to: Settings → Integrations
3) Choose the platform (TikTok / WhatsApp / Gmail / Slack / Instagram / Facebook)
4) Click “Disconnect” (or “Remove integration”)
What disconnecting does:
•Stops TalkWyse from syncing new messages/emails from that platform
•Stops TalkWyse from sending messages through that platform from TalkWyse
•Keeps your existing TalkWyse data unless you delete it (see Section 2)
Optional (recommended): Revoke access on the platform side Most platforms also allow you to revoke access from their own security/authorized apps settings. If you revoke access there, TalkWyse will no longer be able to connect using stored credentials.
•-----------------------------------------------------------
2) DELETE YOUR TALKWYSE ACCOUNT AND DATA
•-----------------------------------------------------------
To delete your TalkWyse account/workspace data:
1) Sign in to TalkWyse
2) Go to: Settings → Account (or Settings → Workspace)
3) Click “Delete account” or “Delete workspace”
4) Follow the confirmation steps
If your plan or setup does not show an in-app deletion button, you can request deletion by email: Send an email to: [PRIVACY@YOURDOMAIN] Subject: Data Deletion Request
Please include:
•Your TalkWyse account email
•Your workspace name (if applicable)
•What you want deleted:
(a) entire account/workspace, or (b) specific conversations (and which platform they relate to)
What TalkWyse deletes (our stored copy) When you delete your account/workspace (or request deletion), we delete TalkWyse’s stored copy of data such as:
•Messages and message content (text)
•Emails (headers and body, including plain text and/or HTML where stored)
•Attachments/media (files, images, documents, audio/video) stored with messages/emails
•Message metadata (timestamps, participants, platform/channel, delivery/read/status where available)
•Identifiers needed for inbox features (message IDs, conversation/thread IDs, channel IDs where applicable, and platform user IDs/UUIDs where stored)
•Connected account mapping data (for example: which connected Gmail account or business/page account a message belongs to)
•TalkWyse workspace data you created (tags/labels, assignments, statuses, internal notes, templates, audit logs)
Important notes:
•Deleting your TalkWyse account/workspace removes TalkWyse’s stored copy of your messages/emails/attachments and related identifiers, subject to Section 3 (timeframes and backups).
•Deleting data in TalkWyse does NOT automatically delete data that exists on TikTok/WhatsApp/Gmail/Slack/Instagram/Facebook. If you need data deleted from those platforms, you must follow their own deletion processes.
•-----------------------------------------------------------
3) EXPECTED TIMEFRAME (HOW LONG DELETION TAKES)
•-----------------------------------------------------------
We aim to handle deletion requests quickly and transparently.
A) Acknowledgement / response time
We aim to confirm we received your deletion request and respond within a reasonable period, and in many cases within 1 month (a common legal standard under GDPR/UK GDPR for rights requests).
B) Deletion completion (active systems)
After we validate the request (and your identity/workspace authority when needed), we aim to delete your TalkWyse data from our active systems within:
•[7 / 14 / 30] days (choose one and keep it consistent across your Privacy Policy)
C) Backups
Like most online services, TalkWyse uses backups for reliability and security.
•Deleted data may remain in backups for up to: [X DAYS] (common choice: 30 days)
•After the backup retention period, backups are overwritten and the deleted data is no longer retained.
D) Legal exceptions
In limited cases, we may retain certain records if required by law (for example, billing or tax records). Message content is not retained for this purpose unless legally required.
